Step 1 whenever I start to get nervous or anxious, I just take the moment and try not to think about what is going to happen but rather thinking about what the surgery is going to bring me in my life.
Step 2, when you are starting to feel a little bit less nervous, try to start to bring in what is going to happen in the surgery so when it comes the time to have the surgery done, you aren't in the dark about what's going to happen while you're under anesthetic. If you start to get anxious or nervous again, repeat step 1 until you feel you're ready to move it again to step 2.
DOCTERS APPOINTMENT: if you're going to a doctors appointment that you really don't want to do, or you are nervous about what is going to happen or what they might find, if you're nervous or anxious at all about it, then do the same as you would do if this were a surgery. If if you just really don't want to have the appointment for check up, just try to make it fun with the "Oreo sandwich" which is what I will be explaining next and how to do the "Oreo sandwich" approach.
